Ćwiczenie 1

Zamień zdania na mowę zależną. Pamiętaj, że nie tylko czasy się zmieniają.

  1. I'm busy now.

    She said she was busy then.

  2. I needed some money yesterday.

    He said he had needed some money the day before.

  3. I'll do it tonight.

    She said she would do it that night.

  4. I haven't taken this money.

    He told me he hadn't taken that money.

  5. We repaired your car the day before yesterday.

    They said they had repaired my car two days before.

  6. I'll leave the keys here.

    He told me he would leave the keys there.

  7. I'm going to talk to you today.

    She said she was going to talk to me that day.

  8. We'll drop in on you tomorrow.

    They said that they would drop in on us the next/following day.

  9. We are going on holiday the day after tomorrow.

    They said they were going on holiday in two days.

  10. I have done a lot of work this week.

    She said she had done a lot of work that week.

Ćwiczenie 2

Przetłumacz zdania na język angielski.

  1. Powiedział, że nie zna swoich nowych sąsiadów.

    He said he didn't know his new neighbours.

  2. Powiedział mamie, że nie ukradł tych pieniędzy.

    He told his mother he hadn't stolen the money.

  3. Powiedziała, że zostaje w Irlandii na kolejny rok.

    She said she was staying in Ireland for another year.

  4. Powiedział nam, że może się spóźnić.

    He told us he could/might be late.

  5. Policjanci powiedzieli, że znaleźli mój samochód.

    The policemen said they had found my car.

  6. Powiedziała, że nie wie, co to znaczy.

    She said she didn't know what it meant.

  7. Zapytał ją, gdzie mieszka.

    He asked her where she lived.

  8. Powiedzieli, że nie będą w stanie nam pomóc.

    They said they wouldn't be able to help us.

  9. Lekarz powiedział, że muszę brać te lekarstwa.

    The doctor said I must / had to take the medicine.

  10. Powiedział, że gdyby o tym wcześniej wiedział, to byłby to zrobił.

    He said that if he had known about it earlier, he would have done it.

  11. Powiedziała mi, że jeśli będzie się nudzić, zadzwoni do mnie.

    She told me that if she were bored, she would call me.

  12. Powiedział, że gdyby wygrał milion dolarów, rzuciłby pracę.

    He said that if he won a million dollars, he would give up his job.

Ćwiczenie 3

Używając reporting verbs zamień zdania na mowę zależną. Może być wiele poprawnych odpowiedzi do każdego zdania. Podaję tylko przykładowe rozwiązania.

  1. Let's go to the cinema.

    He suggested going to the cinema.

  2. Don't forget to buy some bread.

    She reminded me to buy some bread.

  3. I won't do that.

    She refused to do that.

  4. We haven't told them about it.

    They denied telling them about it.

  5. I'll call you as soon as possible.

    She promised to call me as soon as possible.

  6. Don't mix with them.

    They warned us not to mix with them.

  7. I'll give you a loan.

    He offered to give me a loan.

  8. I'll take you to court!

    She threatened to take me to court.

  9. If I were you, I would ask a lawyer.

    He recommended that I should ask a lawyer.

  10. You can take all the CDs.

    He allowed me to take all the CDs.
